BENGALURU: In the light of the increasing cases of robberies and thefts in different parts of the state, the city police are taking various measures at crime prevention and detection.

A man dialled the emergency response number as he wanted a lift to his father-in-law’s house.

As part of the exercise, police inspectors posted across the city are being trained in crime prevention in batches at the command centre. The focus of the training is the modus operandi and types of crimes, using technology to solve them, among others.

The training also includes identifying places where CCTV cameras can be installed under the Safe City project, their monitoring, etc. The training modules for the senior officers are being conducted by technical experts.
