MANDYA: Two days after a fresh FIR was filed against conwoman Aishwarya Gowda at the RR Nagar police station in Bengaluru for cheating, another case has been filed against her in Mandya.
Soubhagya, a resident of Chamundeshwari Nagar in Mandya, has lodged a complaint with the Mandya West police station based on which an FIR was registered under Sections 406, 420, 417, 120B, 450 and 34 of the IPC. The FIR mentions the names of Navyashree a.k.a. Aishwarya Gowda, her husband Harish, brother Manjunath and one Yashwanth.
Soubhagya has alleged that Aishwarya took Rs 33 lakh in cash and 366 gm of gold ornaments between January and June 2017 on the pretext of investing in real estate and chit funds. The money belonged to her late husband’s retirement benefits, she claimed. Aishwarya offered 1 per cent interest for every Rs 1 lakh, the complainant said.
Earlier, couple Ravikumar and Poornima had lodged a complaint against Aishwarya Gowda at the Mandya West police station alleging that she had cheated them of Rs 55 lakh in cash apart from gold jewellery. On Monday, the police had issued a notice to Aishwarya, but she did not present herself for inquiry.
