BENGALURU: A man murdered his wife on October 28 by strangluting her as he suspected her of infidelity. The victim is Kokila and the accused is Siddaramanna, a resident of Shantinagar in Gangodanahalli, Bengaluru. Kokila was working at a garment unit.
The accused Siddaramanna used to quarrel every day with his wife, suspecting her character. The couple’s family members had tried to intervene, advising Siddaramanna to reconcile with Kokila, but he continued the harassment.
On that night, Siddaramanna had quarreled with his wife. In a fit of anger, Siddaramanna killed Kokila by tying a veil around her neck. He then escaped from the house and visited Dharmasthala and shaved his head as an atonement for his sin, before being arrested.
Kokila’s parents filed a complaint, leading police to launch a search operation. Siddaramanna was arrested by Madanayakanahalli police.
