KALABURAGI: A third-year MBBS student has been accused of attempting to convert people to Christianity and distributing religious material at the ESI hospital here.

Hino Dalichan, hailing from Kerala, was caught on video with religious material in the hospital by some attendants of patients. It is alleged that he visits the patients and distributes religious material in an attempt to convert people.

In a video, the medical student can be seen being questioned why he was carrying out religous propagation inside a hospital. It is alleged that the medico enters the hospital on the pretext of checking patients. He allegedly tells them that medicines and injections do not work and asks the patients to embrace Christianity and to follow the path of Jesus.

A complaint has been lodged against the medical student at the University police station by members of Hindu organisations. Further investigation is under way.
