BAGALKOT: Vijayapura BJP MLA Basanagouda R Patil Yatnal has stoked yet another controversy by abusing former Mysuru ruler Tipu Sultan and Mughal ruler Aurangzeb in foul language.
Participating in a Ganesha idol immersion procession at Mudhol on Thursday night, Yatnal, who addressed the crowd from an open vehicle, said he wouldn’t mind if more FIRs are filed against him.
He went on to say, “You can record this on your mobile phone. Tipu Sultan was a haramkhor (scoundrel) and b**tard, Aurangzeb was a haramkhor (scoundrel) and b**tard. Tipu Sultan killed lakhs of Hindus. File as many FIRs as you want against me. Already, 36-37 FIRs have been filed against me and if someone wants, they can file another 4-5 FIRs in Mudhol. Hindus are not impotent”.
The Ganesha idol immersion procession was organised by the Janata Raja Utsav Samiti. A large number of youngsters and people of all age groups participated in the procession and danced to DJ music on the roads.
