Four suffer burn injuries after LPG gas cylinder explodes

BENGALURU: A four people suffered burn injuries when a gas cylinder exploded in an apartment built by the slum development board built at Baiyappanahalli on Monday. The blast caused damage to the walls of houses where the explosion took place.

The incident occurred around 6:50 am today. The blast was so powerful that it destroyed the walls of the apartment and shattered the glass windows of nearby houses. Three people including, Anna Dorai, Vinod and Mani, were injured and are being treated at Victoria Hospital.

The blast also damaged a few bikes parked outside the apartment. The explosion is suspected to have been caused by gas leakage. The fire department and police are investigating the incident.
