BENGALURU: A few days ago, a video of a man escaping on a two-wheeler after hitting a woman in the back in Bengaluru went viral. He has now been arrested by the C K Achchukattu police with the help of registration number.
The accused has been identified as Pandu Dorai (44), a native of Tamil Nadu and residing in Vinayaka Nagar, Bengaluru.
Some people tried to chase him with other bikes to catch him, but he escaped. Someone captured a photo of a bike number plate.
After the video went viral on social media, the police launched an investigation. Pandu used to molest women, touching them inappropriately and misbehaving with them and had been doing this for a while, targeting lone women in deserted areas. He would touch them in the back while he was riding bike and escape. He had managed to evade arrest until now, but was caught after the latest incident.
The police have registered a case against him and are investigating further. More information is expected to come out after the investigation.
