HASSAN: Frustrated with his wife due to family disputes, a man gave supari to his friend to murder her in Yaka Shettihalli village of Belur taluk. The deceased woman was identified as Sheela (42).
The couple had been living separately for a few years due to family disputes. On Saturday, the husband Jagadish called his wife out of the house and got into an argument with her. Later, his friend Rajashekhar stabbed Sheela to death in front of the house and escaped after throwing her body into a nearby lake, weighing it down with stones.
The brutal murder was captured on CCTV cameras. When Sheela’s daughter filed a missing person’s complaint on Sunday, the police investigated and uncovered the murder mystery. The police have arrested Rajashekhar, the prime accused, and Jagadish, the husband.
