BENGALURU: Following the controversy over the photo of jailed actor Darshan smoking a cigarette and holding coffee mug with history-sheeter Wilson Garden Naga and the other two accused in the Parappana Agrahara Central jail premises, and a video call conversation with history-sheeters Dharma and Satya went viral, another case is likely to be register against Darshan in connection with getting VIP privileges in the jail.
Police are mulling over filing a complaint at the Parappana Agrahara police station and senior officers are waiting for further instructions. Seven jail officials have already been suspended for dereliction of duty.
The complaint could be filed against Wilson Garden Naga, Kulla Seena, Darshan’s manager Nagaraj, Market Dharmaraj and Satya. If another complaint is filed, Darshan may face tough charges, and there could be a possibility of him being shifted to another prison.
In a related development, it is suspected that information about the CCB police raid at Parappana Agrahara central jail early on Saturday had been leaked beforehand. The raid was conducted on Saturday, but the CCB police returned empty-handed, though inmates had mobile phones inside the jail. This has raised questions on what the CCB police found inside the prison during the raid.
The privileges that given to Darshan at the jail now led to a debate and has come as an an eye-opener to the government and authorities concerned.
