MYSURU: Ten gelatin sticks were found inside a plastic bag near a hotel in Kempanahundi Gate area in T Narasipura on Friday.
Some unidentified people had left the explosives in a blue plastic cover. Locals and hotel staff found it suspicious and upon looking inside, found the explosives. The hotel staff then tied the plastic cover to a nearby tree and informed the local police.
A bomb disposal unit visited the site and examined the plastic bag containing explosives. Nine tube-shaped explosives and a homemade explosive (used for hunting wild animals) were found in the bag.
The explosives appear to be used for quarrying and hunting. Police and bomb disposal unit staff have seized the explosives and are investigating further.
