BENGALURU: A thief stole Rs 16.5 lakh and broke into two ATMs by using a gas cutter in Bellandur and Hosur in Bengaluru.
The face of the thief was caught on the CCTV camera stealing the money from the ATM by using a gas cutter. He was seen covering himself in a bedsheet. He decamped with a total of Rs 16.5 lakh.
In CCTV footage, he can be seen entering the ATM covering a bedsheet with a black spray can in hand and wearing glasses. He sprayed black paint on the CCTV camera and in some parts of the ATM. Then, he again checked all over inside the ATM, noticed another CCTV camera at the top and sprayed black paint on it to hide his identity.
The Bellandur police have registered a case and are investigating.
