BENGALURU: A dog owner was assaulted on March 7 as it barked at some unidentified people in Muneshwara Nagar in Pattegarpalya. The unidentified people also manhandled the dog owner’s daughter when she came to rescue her father.
Now, the family approached the Women’s Commission seeking justice and sent an audio. The accused has been arrested by Kamakshipalya police as soon as they received a complaint from the dog’s owner, Shalini.
As per the complaint, Shalini’s neighbour Shankar came to her house along with his friends at 10.30 pm on March 7. The dog barked at Shankar’s friends as they were strangers to the dog. Suddenly, they assaulted the dog and beat her father with an iron rod in the head for questioning about the assault on the dog.
Then, Shalini intervened to rescue her father, when the accused and the others manhanled her also. Shalini sent an audio recording of the incident to the Women’s Commission and lodged a complaint of assault against Shankar and the seven other people. Following the complaint, the accused Shankar has been arrested by the Kamakshipalya police.
