BENGALURU: A train passenger had a lucky escape when he fell into the gap between the platform and the train while trying to board it at the city railway station. He was however, rescued by a hawker and another bystander, who quickly pulled him out. The incident occurred on Sunday, February 4, at 11.14 am.
The train was moving slowly as it was leaving the platform from Bengaluru to Bangarapet. The passenger was about to board the train, but lost balance and fell in the gap. A bystander who was at the spot and a hawker rushed to save the life of that passenger who narrowly escaped death. Later, a police constable arrived at the scene.
The incident was captured on the CCTV camera at the railway station. In the footage, the passenger can be seen trying to get on the slow-moving train, but falls into the gap between the train and the platform as he loses balance.
A bystander who was at the spot and a hawker selling packaged drinking water rushed and pulled him on to the platform. A constable also rushed to the spot on seeing the incident.
