BENGALURU: Union Minister for Road Transport and Highway, Nitin Gadkari, has said that the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is in the process of engaging a consultant to prepare a detailed project report (DPR) for development of the Mysuru-Nanjangud section of the National Highway-212 from four lanes to six lanes.
In a letter to Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha, Gadkari said he has “got the matter examined” and based on the outcome of the feasibility report, upgradation of the highway section will be considered.

In a Twitter post, Pratap Simha wrote that his next aim will be completion of the four-lane Mysuru-Kushalnagar section of the highway by 2025, for which the foundation stone was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 12, and upgradation of the Mysuru-Nanjangud section of the highway to six lanes. He also shared the letter written by Nitin Gadkari.
