BENGALURU: A BTech graduate who was looking for employment in Bengaluru has mysteriously gone missing, reportedly fed up with harassment by cyber fraudsters. The young man and his girlfriend had come to Bengaluru from Odisha in search of jobs.
Recently, the youth received threats demanding money after someone sent nude photos of the woman to his WhatsApp number. He went missing under suspicious circumstances on the April 15. An FIR has been filed at Hulimavu police station.
The missing youth has been identified as Chinmay Prasad Saho. He was residing in Akshay Nagar under Hulimavu police station limits, at Lavender Homes apartment along with his girlfriend. Both had completed their BTech and moved to Bengaluru for jobs.
On April 15, Chinmay went out to dispose of garbage and did not return. Blackmail messages from an unknown number were found on his mobile phone. Unidentified persons had morphed their photos on to a nude video. The unknown person also sent those photos to Chinmay’s mother. Following this, a missing person’s complaint was filed at Hulimavu station.
Chinmay’s brother has expressed suspicion about his girlfriend. The couple had previously travelled together to different states. The brother suspects she may have done something to him. Police are currently waiting for the Call Detail Record (CDR). Further action will be taken after examining the CDR of her mobile number.
