BENGALURU: The effect of the conflict in the Middle East has now hit domestic LPG cylinder supplies in the city. Consumers are lining up at agencies with empty cylinders, but are not getting refills.
At BTM 1st Stage, residents who booked cylinders 10-15 days ago are still waiting, with no sign of delivery.At the HP Gas Agency in Koramangala, people are flocking to with empty cylinders, but there’s no refill available. The agency is struggling to supply cylinders due to a shortage. The Indane Gas Agency in BTM 1st Stage reporteds no load, with staff telling customers to come back later.
“We’ve been waiting for 20 days since booking, and even got a message, but still no cylinder is available. The delivery boys say old bills aren’t cleared, and there are over 600 pending bills per delivery boy,” said a frustrated customer.
The agency receives two indents daily, but can only clear one, leading to a backlog. Customers are forced to use induction stoves and eat at hotels. “We’ve been struggling for gas for 20 days, even had to have breakfast at a hotel today,” added another customer.
