BALLARI: A second division assistant (SDA) has been arrested in Ballari for creating a fake letter in the name of a woman tahsildar, alleging harassment by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Mohammad Zubair.
Gangadhar had written a letter to the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, and Opposition leader, claiming that ADC Zubair was harassing the female tahsildar physically and mentally. The letter was posted to various authorities, causing distress to the tahsildar.
The officer filed a complaint with the police, stating that the letter was fake and that someone had forged her signature. The police investigation revealed that Gangadhar was behind the letter, and he has been arrested.
Gangadhar had a grudge against ADC Zuber, who had suspended him earlier for allegedly taking money from people to do work. The police are investigating whether Gangadhar had any connections with other officials, including a former Assistant Commissioner who allegedly supported him.
