BENGALURU: A dispute over parking a car led to a clash between two families of tenants living in the same building in Byadarahalli. The fight, captured on CCTV, involved Santosh and his wife Shubha, who were allegedly attacked by another tenant.
The trouble started when Santosh tried to park his car, but another tenant’s bike was blocking the space. An argument ensued, leading to a physical assault with concrete cricket stumps and sticks. Santosh’s car was also damaged.
Speaking from his hospital bed, Santosh said, “I inquired about the two-wheeler and the family members said it would take another 15 minutes to move it. Then I moved it myself following which some of their family members started abusing me. When one of them picked up a footwear, I realised that thing would go out of hand and was calling the emergency number 112. In the meantime, the other family called someone who came and banged his vehicle into my car, trapping me, and attacked me. I collapsed and my wife shifted me to a hospital”.
Santosh received 10 stitches on his head and is undergoing treatment at a hospital. The police have registered a case and are investigating further.
