POCSO accused Muslim youth makes video calls from jail, harasses minor Hindu girl

HUBBALLI: A Muslim youth, who has been accused of ‘love jihad’ and booked under POCSO Act, is allegedly harassing the minor Hindu victim by making video calls toher using a mobile phone from inside the Dharwad jail. The accused has been allegedly threatening her and asking her to testify in his favour in court.

The victim’s family has approached the authorities, alleging that the accused is mentally torturing their daughter. The accused also allegedly threatened to release obscene videos if the victim doesn’t comply. The family’s pleas have fallen on deaf ears, with the authorities seemingly ignoring their complaints.

The accused, who is in jail for his alleged involvement in the ‘Love Jihad’ case, has reportedly written the victim’s name on his hand and showed it during the video call. The victim’s family is demanding action against the accused and seeking protection for their daughter.

The incident has sparked outrage, with the Sri Rama Sene questioning how the accused obtained a smartphone in jail. The organisation is demanding answers from Home Minister G Parameshwara and action against the accused.
