SHIVAMOGGA: A massive tree fell on the Agumbe Ghat road in Shivamogga district due to heavy rainfall on Friday, causing a traffic jam. The tree, which fell at the 4th bend of Agumbe Ghat, blocked the road, and vehicles were stranded on both sides.
Local residents and drivers joined hands to clear the tree, and traffic resumed after about two hours. The Agumbe Ghat is a crucial link between Shivamogga and Udupi, and the incident caused significant disruption in traffic movement.
The police and Forest department personnel worked together to clear the tree, and traffic resumed after about two hours.
