BENGALURU: Fans of Puneeth Rajkumar are celebrated his 51st birth anniversary in grand style across Karnataka. Since morning, fans thronged Kanteerava Studio in the city, where the actor’s final resting place is located, to offer prayers and pay homage. The celebrations include blood donation, food distribution and other social initiatives.
In Bengaluru and other parts of the state, fans marked the occasion with various events. The actor’s family, including his brother Raghavendra, and Yuvaraj and Vinay Rajkumar visited the samadhi to offer prayers. Puneeth’s wife Ashwini and daughters joined in from abroad.
Speaking to the media, Raghavendra Rajkumar said, “It’s tough to celebrate without Appu, but his fans are keeping his spirit alive. We’re proud of the social initiatives he’s inspired. The honorary doctorate I received is a testament to his legacy.”
Yuvraj and Vinay Rajkumar also spoke about the emotional day, saying, “We’re celebrating his 51st birthday, but it’s painful. He may be gone, but his gifts and memories remain. We feel he’s with us today.”
The atmosphere at Kanteerava Studio was festive, with fans bursting firecrackers and chanting slogans. The samadhi was decorated with flowers, and fans offered prayers and tributes. Some fans even got injured while bursting firecrackers, but the celebrations continued.
The family and fans remembered Puneeth’s philanthropic work and his dedication to social causes. His film ‘Akash’ is currently running house full, and fans are keeping his memory alive through various events and initiatives.
