CHIKKAMAGALUR: A private bus and crashed into an electricity pole near Sangameshwarapet in Chikkamagaluru district on Monday after the driver lost control. The bus, carrying over 40 passengers, was headed from Bengaluru to Sringeri.
The accident occurred when the driver tried to give way to an oncoming vehicle, and the bus skidded on the wet road, hitting the electricity pole. The pole broke and fell on the bus, but luckily, the electricity supply got cut off, preventing any major disaster.
No one was seriously injured, and the Balehonnur police have registered a case. The incident occurred amidst heavy rain in the area, making the road slippery.
