CHIKKABALLAPUR: A massive fire broke out at a cable factory in Bashettihalli near Doddaballapur on the outskirts of Bengaluru, around 5.30 pm on Monday. The fire was still raging on Tuesday morning and was brought under control by the Fire and Emergency Services with over 15 fire tenders and more than 100 personnel working tirelessly to douse the flames.
The firefighting operation went on for over 15 hours, with water being sprayed into the factory to extinguish the fire and clear the smoke. The firefighters fought the blaze continuously as smoke was still emanating from inside the factory.
The incident occurred at a cable factory in the Bashettihalli industrial area, and the cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
