MANDYA, BENGALURU: A KSRTC bus narrowly avoided a major disaster when its brakes failed, causing it to crash into roadside railings near Akkihebbalu in KR Pet taluk on Monday. Miraculously, all 60 passengers on board escaped unharmed.
The bus, travelling from KR Pet to Bherya, was carrying over 60 passengers when the brakes failed, causing the driver to lose control. The front of the bus was severely damaged in the crash. The incident occurred on a state highway, and a case has been registered at the KR Pet Rural police station.
In another incident, a school bus crashed into an electricity pole in Mahalakshmi Layout, Bengaluru, after its brakes failed. The bus, belonging to National Public School, was picking up children when the incident occurred.
Miraculously, all the children on board escaped unharmed. The Malleswaram traffic police are investigating the incident.
