Transgender arrested for robbing trader of Rs 38,000

BENGALURU: A trangender was arrested by the Nelamangala Rural police for allegedly robbing a man of Rs 38,000.

The victim Venu had come to Bengaluru from Anantapur on Friday evening to sell vegetables and was returning to his Bolero vehicle after unloading them at the market when the incident occurred.

Nisha aka Maruthi (30), allegedly blocked Venu’s vehicle at T Begur and attacked him, snatching the money from him. Venu filed a complaint with the Nelamangala Rural police station and the police arrested Nisha.

Initial investigation revealed that Nisha had been targetting people and robbing them. The police have registered a case against Nisha and are further investigating the case.
