BENGALURU: Bigg Boss Season 12 results are out, and fans are going gilders for their favorite contestant Gilli (Nataraj), who hails from Mandya district.
Gilli’s victory in Bigg Boss Kannada Season-12 can be attributed to several factors. He won hearts with his witty remarks and humour, holding the record for the highest votes in Bigg Boss history. Gilli skillfully used comedy to his advantage, earning him the title of Comedy King.
He was known for his strategy of provoking opponents and staying focused on his game, while maintaining friendships and staying true to his words. His lighthearted approach to challenges helped him connect with the audience, and he surprised everyone by lasting 112 days in the show, proving his staying power.
Gilli spoke to Public TV after winning Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12, expressing his happiness and disbelief. “I’m extremely happy, I can’t believe it… Feels unreal even now.” He plans to use the Rs 50 lakh prize money to buy land and possibly do some farming. Gilli said he is still processing the win, saying “Still can’t believe it’s true, keep checking if this is real”.
He shared a funny anecdote about his song “Doddamma Doddamma” becoming popular, and was glad kids loved it. Gilli clarified there’s no Kavya or marriage, and their joint entry was just a casual comment. He was intense about the final six, not knowing who’d make it. Gilli loves wearing shorts and banian, and felt uncomfortable wearing shirts in Bigg Boss house. He said he is glad people liked him in ‘Devil’ movie and is excited to work with ‘Darshan sir’/ ‘Darshan anna’, looking forward to more movies.
Some fans have even gotten tattoos of Gilli’s name, while others are inquiring about getting Ashwini Gowda or Rakshita’s name tattooed. Fans are visiting tattoo studios in Rajajinagar and Mahalakshmi Layout, getting sketches and trials done.
Rakshita Shetty’s win as second runner-up defied all expectations. The Tulunadu beauty, who was eliminated early in the Bigg Boss journey, got another chance and surprised everyone by becoming the second runner-up. Initially, many contestants targeted Rakshita, but she proved her mettle by stealing the show and surpassing Kavya and Ashwini Gowda. She even outshone Ashwini Gowda to secure the second runner-up spot, turning the tables on everyone.
Rakshita Shetty, the first runner-up of Bigg Boss, spoke to Public TV, saying, “I didn’t expect to be standing with Sudeep sir, it’s an honor. Thanks to everyone, can’t thank enough… Gilli and I are both winners. The 3-month Bigg Boss journey felt like a lifetime, wasn’t easy. I had confidence in myself and learned patience from Bigg Boss”.
“This is my third re-entry in Bigg Boss. I’m happy about the win, not the prize money. Gilli and I have a great friendship, he’s a winner from day one. I won’t continue a forced friendship… I didn’t understand Kavya’s personality. I will take acting offers like ‘Chandraprabha’ if the role fits”, she said.
She further said, “No heroine roles for me, a supporting role like Pataki is enough. I’ll continue my blog and stay happy with the love I received. I didn’t expect to be runner-up, but I’m thrilled… I knew Gilli would win. I’ll continue my work, haven’t thought about movies yet”.
Ashwini Gowda, the second runner-up of Bigg Boss, spoke exclusively to Public TV and said, “Gilli’s not poor, he’s just playing the ‘poor’ character… I learned a lot in Bigg Boss. I had confidence I’d win, but third place is a bit disappointing. I’m straightforward and didn’t fake anything in the show”.
She further said, “Gilli is like my brother, we’d often tease each other. Regarding the ‘S’ category comment, I meant people who shout a lot… but it got twisted. People took it lightly, but I’m okay with third place. I showed my true self, I won’t go looking for trouble but won’t back down either. Gilli won fair and square in the ‘poor’ character… best wishes to him. True poor kids should succeed, but Gilli’s not poor… he’s just played the part”.
Fans were disappointed Ashwini didn’t win, taking to social media to express their feelings. Ashwini Gowda is currently in Mysuru with her family, and fans are flocking to take selfies with her.
