BENGALURU: A vehicle owner from Hennur has been fined Rs 1,11,500 for modifying his car’s silencer and making excessive noise in public. The individual had altered the car’s silencer, added stickers, and was driving around, making loud noises, spitting fire and sharing videos of it on social media.
The Hennur traffic police tracked down the car and imposed the fine. The car had previously been involved in other traffic offences, which contributed to the hefty fine. The police seized the car and are taking further action.

A case has been registered at the Hennur police station and the driver fined for violating traffic rules and causing public disturbance. The police have sent a letter to the Regional Transport Office at Yelahanka to take further action against the car which is registered in Kerala.
