GADAG: A family found an ancient treasure While digging the foundation for a house at Lakkundi village in the district. The house is being construted by one Gangavva Ritti.
The treasure includes a brass tumbler, two necklaces, 18 gold biscuits, anklets, and other items, weighing around 1 kg. The police and archaeology department visited the site and are investigating the origin and value of the treasure.
Police Superintendent Rohan Jagadish, Assistant Commissioner Gangappa and Lakkundi authority officials are leading the probe.
