BENGALURU: The Education Department is on high alert after a suspected paper leak the Pre-University Course (PUC) preparatory exam in Shivamogga and Kalaburgi, sparking concerns.
The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA), which conducted the exams, has filed a complaint with the police and is taking strict measures to prevent further leaks. With the PUC exams scheduled to begin in late February, authorities are leaving no stone unturned to ensure a fair process.
District deputy commissioners and police superintendents have been instructed to maintain tight security at exam centres and district treasuries, where question papers are stored. The department is also monitoring social media and cyber centers to prevent any malpractice.
Those found involved in the paper leak will face severe consequences. The Education Department is determined to conduct a clean and transparent examination process.
