BENGALURU: A dialysis centre at Kasturba Nagar in Chamarajpet, constructed at a cost of crores of rupees, is in a state of disrepair even before its inauguration. The three-story building, meant for dialysis patients, has been neglected for four years after its construction.
The building is now a hub for illicit activities, with liquor bottles scattered around. An anganwadi is running in one of the rooms, but the windows are broken and the structure is in a deplorable state.
A banner advertising dialysis equipment has been put up, but the building needs major repairs before it can be used. The neglect has sparked demands for action against those responsible for the state of the building.
The authorities had initially planned to inaugurate the centre after installing dialysis equipment, but have failed to do so even after four years since the construction was completed.
