CHITRADURGA: Chitradurga Congress MLA K C Veerendra Pappi, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in a money laundering case and released on bail on Tuesday evening, met his supporters at a private hotel in Bengaluru.

He said, “People have given me the responsibility of being an MLA, and I’ll work to repay their trust”. He apologized for not being able to meet supporters who visited him in jail, saying “Many of you came to meet me in jail, but it wasn’t possible due to the circumstances. Please forgive me”.

Veerendra assured his supporters that he will continue working for the constituency’s development and said, “I’ll be with you in the coming days. We’ll fix the small mistakes and work towards the constituency’s growth.” He also joked, “I haven’t given a speech in four months”, leaving supporters in splits.
