BENGALURU: A newlywed woman allegedly committed suicide at her husband’s home in Bagalgunte just a month after her marriage. Her family has accused her husband and in-laws of harassment and murder.
Aishwarya C K, hailing from from Maddur, married Likhit Singh of Mallasandra, Bengaluru, on November 27. The couple had been experiencing marital issues, with Aishwarya’s husband reportedly asking her parents to take her back due to frequent quarrels between Aishwarya, her husband, and her mother-in-law.
Aishwarya’s parents had visited her husband’s house on Wednesday morning to resolve the issues, and a compromise was reached. They left for their village, but soon received news that Aishwarya had hanged herself.
The husband’s family informed Aishwarya’s parents about her death, but they suspect foul play and accused the husband’s family of murder. A complaint has been filed at Bagalgunte police station, and the investigation is underway. Aishwarya’s body has been sent to Victoria Hospital for post-mortem.
