BALLARI: Three people belonging to the same family died in a horrific road accident in Siraguppa taluk when their car crashed into a culvert in the wee hours on Wednesday. Two others who were seriously injured are being treated at VIMS Hospital in Ballari.
The accident occurred near Devinagara Camp on the Ballari-Siraguppa state highway. The victims Prasada Rao, Sandhya and Vijaya from Nittur village, were returning from a temple visit in Tamil Nadu when their car crashed due to the driver’s alleged negligence.
The driver had apparently dozed off and the car hit a culvert at high speed as seen in a CCTV camera. A case has been registered at Tekkalakote police station, and further investigation is under way.
