Nigerian woman arrested for smuggling cocaine in bread

BENGALURU: A Nigerian woman has been arrested by the Central Crime Branch (CCB) police for smuggling cocaine from Mumbai to Bengaluru by concealing it inside bread loaves while travelling in a private bus.

The arrested woman was identified as Olajide Esther, a Nigerian national. The police have seized 120 grams of cocaine worth Rs 65 lakh from her.

Esther had cleverly cut open bread slices and hidden the cocaine inside to avoid suspicion. A case under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act case has been registered and an investigation is under way.
