BENGALURU: The Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) has started issuing A-khatas for B-khata property owners who had applied for conversion. The GBA had allowed a 100-day time for submission of applications for conversion to A-khata and the deadline is approaching soo.
So far, only 3,000 applications have been submitted for B-khatas to A-khatas conversion, out of which 35 have been processed and A-khatas issued. The GBA is proceeding with A-khatas issuance after scrutinising applications. There are 7.5 lakh B-khata holders, but only 3,000 have applied as people are not showing much interest towards applying.

The GBA is considering extending the 100-day time for submission of applications, given the poor response. However, GBA has decided that it is not possible to reduce the fee, which is 5 per cent of the guideline value.
