Staffer stops MLC’s car, creates ruckus by confiscating his pass, mobile at Bengaluru-Solapur Highway toll gate

VIJAYAPURA: A woman staffer allegedly stopped an MLC’s car and misbehaved with him at a toll plaza on National Highway-52  on the Bengaluru-Solapur Highway on the outskirts of Vijayapura city on Sunday.

The staffer allegedly misbehaved with MLC Keshav Prasad, confiscating his ID pass and mobile phone and asking his whereabouts. The MLC was allegedly stopped for about an hour, creating a commotion. The staffer asked, “How do we believe that you ar an MLC?”

The MLC, who was upset with the toll staff’s unusual behavior, immediately informed SP Laxman Nimbargi about the incident. The rural police station police immediately rushed to the scene, and BJP workers also gathered there, creating a tense atmosphere at the toll gate for some time.

About an hour later, an official of the toll operator visited the scene and BJP workers reprimanded him. BJP workers demanded strict action against the staff member who misbehaved with the MLC and the police later resolved the situation.
