BENGALURU: A woman, who received financial help from an online friend for her daughter’s treatment, was almost physically abused by him, leading to her attempting suicide, in Rajagopalnagar. The victim has filed a complaint against the accused, Paritosh Yadav, at the Rajagopalnagar police station.

The victim’s daughter was seriously injured in an LPG cylinder explosion a few days ago. She had borrowed Rs 30,000 from Paritosh Yadav, whom she met on social media, for her daughter’s treatment. Paritosh allegedly took advantage of this and started harassing her to engage in physical relations.

He would send her messages daily, threatening to share her number with porn websites and sex traffickers if she didn’t comply with his demand. He also started sending her obscene messages, photos, and videos. When her husband found out, it led to a misunderstanding between them.

The victim, who was extremely distressed by this, left her husband and went to her friend’s house, where she attempted suicide. However, she was saved with the help of her friend and later filed a complaint at the Rajagopalnagar police station.
