BENGALURU: Doctors at the CV Raman Hospital in city hospital have stopped physiotherapy sessions for Darshan, who is in jail in connection with the Renukaswamy’s murder case. This has led to speculation about whether the back pain has been cured.
Sources say that a team of doctors from CV Raman Hospital reported to the prison authorities that Darshan does not need physiotherapy for his back pain.
When Darshan was first imprisoned in the Renukaswamy case, he had obtained bail citing severe back pain and claiming that he could not neither stand or nor sit. When Darshan was sent to Parappana Agrahara for the second time, he again mentioned the same problem.
However, the court, which did not grant bail, allowed him to receive treatment inside the prison. Accordingly, a team of four doctors from CV Raman Hospital provided physiotherapy two or three times a week.
After examination, the medical team submitted a report stating that Darshan does not require physiotherapy any further. Based on the doctors’ recommendation, prison authorities have stopped taking him for physiotherapy session. It also appears that Darshan has not raised any further complaints about physiotherapy.
Currently, Darshan is reportedly having only one meal a day in prison. Since his imprisonment for the second time, he has lost between 10 and 12 kg. Prison officials say this weight loss could naturally be contributing to the reduction of his back pain.
