Man who resorted to theft for live-in partner’s expenses arrested in Kalaburagi

KALABURAGI: A notorious thief, who resorted to stealing to meet the expenses of his live-in partner, has been arrested by the Kalaburagi University police. The accused, Kallappa alias Sanju, was arrested along with his accomplice Santosh.

The police have recovered stolen goods worth approximately Rs 7.20 lakh, including 61 grams of gold and 680 grams of silver, from the accused. Kallappa and Santosh were involved in theft and robbery and would sell the stolen goods with the help of Kallappa’s girlfriend.

The police have solved five cases of house theft with the arrest of these two individuals. Kallappa, a resident of Gaur (B) village in Afzalpur taluk, and Santosh were involved in six cases of theft and robbery.
