VIJAYAPURA: A 1.5-year-old boy was kidnapped by a childlifter from at Shivaji Nagar locality in Chadachan town on Wednesday morning. An unidentified woman is alleged to have kidnapped the child from near his house.
The child, identified as Mohammed Maaz Chand Sheikh was playing in front of his house around 7 am on Wednesday when the woman, wearing a blue saree, picked him up and fled.
The child’s parents have lodged a complaint with the Chadachan police, who have launched a search operation and set up roadblocks to check vehicles. The public is cooperating with the authorities. Meanwhile, the child’s parents are distraught as the police search for the childlifter.
