BENGALURU: The power-sharing tussle in Congress is not yet finished; it is still alive. The breakfast meeting is only a formality, but despite the high‑command’s tactic, there seems to be a hidden manoeuvre to keep the issue of power transfer from going public.

The message being sent is that the final deadline of ‘Sankrati’ is approaching, and there is no consensus among the political leaders in the Karnataka Congress. Even between the CM and the Deputy CM, despite a breakfast, there is a tug‑of‑war continuing under the surface.

DK Shivakumar is putting his complete effort into preventing the heat of the power‑share from cooling down. Even after the high command’s breakfast tactic, the Shivakumar camp continues its push while trying to keep the power transfer issue from being exposed.

Even though breakfast meetings were held, the power sharing issue will continue to simmer until it comes to a logical conclusion. Whatever negotiations happen between the CM and DeputyCM, there is no compromise on the power-sharing issue, sources indicted.

The high command is likely to take a decision during Christmas. If missed, the Shivakumar camp will try to portray that the ‘Sankrati deadline’ will be final in an indirect message.
