BENGALURU: Despite repeated warnings and fines from the police department, some bike riders and car drivers who hit the road have not changed their reckless behaviour. They repeatedly indulge in rash driving, willful violations, drunk driving, popping wheelies and causing trouble to other road users.
Now, in order to stop such mischief and rule-breaking activities, the transport and police departments have become more active, not only taking strict action but also planning to cancel offenders’ driving licences. The police department has requested the transport department to cancel the driving licences of repeat offenders.

Until now, the police have been imposing fines to correct the behaviour, but even after paying the fines, some drivers do not mend their ways. Hence, action against such repeat offenders has become essential, and both departments are now preparing for it.
Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy has also given strict instructions in this regard and has ordered swift action against such drivers across the state.
