BENGALURU: After the daylight robbery case from an ATM cash van near Ashoka Pillar-Jayanagar-Dairy Circle route, with Rs 5.76 crore of the total Rs 7.11 crore that was robbed, the cash management firm CMS Ltd is keeping close watch on its other branch in Rajajinanagar and is on high alert.

Tight security has been arranged for the company’s vehicles that transport money to ATMs. Two custodians, a gunman and the driver are travelling with heavy security in the cash‑filled vehicle. At the same time, rear and front camera inspection is also being carried out.

The CMS company has three branches in Bengaluru and tight security is maintained everywhere. However, there are allegations that some places have been neglected. In some places there is no gunman, at others there is no custodian, the company’s staff themselves allege.

After the whopping Rs 7 crore robbery, the crew of the cash‑transport vehicles are now working with utmost care.
