Sompura GP fines bakery Rs 1,000 for dumping food waste next to highway

BENGALURU: The Sompura gram panchayat officials  fined a bakery owner Rs 1,000 for dumping leftover buns, puffs and other food items next to a highway at Dobbspet in Nelamangala taluk.

Sompur village‑panchayat officials, who learned of the matter, visited the site and fined the bakery owner Rs 1,000. Panchayat Development Officer (PDO) Ravishankar announced that a reward will be given to complainants if it is  accompanied by a photo of the person who dumped garbage in public.
