RAICHUR: A fire broke out at a cotton mill on Hyderabad Road in Raichur, resulting in damage to cotton and other materials worth lakhs of rupees. The incident occurred at Sri Balaji Cotton Industry near the Vijayanagar Thermal Power Station (VTPS) on Friday.
The fire is believed to have broken out accidentally during cotton milling operations, causing extensive damage to machinery and raw materials. The fire was brought under control by the fire department, preventing a major disaster. Two fire tenders were rushed to the scene to extinguish the flames.
The Raichur Rural police are investigating the incident. The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are being assessed.
