KARWAR: A Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) head constable died after a broken iron gate fell on him while he was on duty at the Kaiga nuclear power plant’s nuclear waste unit.
The deceased, Shekhar Bhimrao Jagdale (48), originally from Mahimangad in Maharashtra, was an ex-army man. He sustained serious head injury and was immediately taken to the primary treatment centre by STF personnel and later transferred to KGS Hospital in Kaiga for further treatment, but he passed away.
A case has been registered at the Mallapur police station.
