BENGALURU: Namma Metro services on the Purple Line were disrupted for more than one hour during peak hours on Thursday due to a technical issue.
The issue started around 9.15 am when a train developed a technical problem between Vijayanagar and Hosahalli stations, causing it to stop midway. The train’s doors were stuck, and it couldn’t move, leading to a complete halt in Metro services on the Purple Line.

The Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL) issued a statement explaining that the technical issue was being addressed, and services would be normalised soon. After a prolonged delay, the Metro services were finally resumed around 10.15 am between Mysore Road and Whitefield. However, services between Mysore Road and Challaghatta were expected to resume by 11 am.
