BENGALURU: Four years after his passing, ‘Power Star’ Puneeth Rajkumar is still remembered with deep affection by his family and fans. The late actor’s family performed a puja and offered prayers at his memorial at Kanteerava Studios on Wednesday.

The death anniversary was attended by Raghavendra Rajkumar, his wife Mangala, Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar, Shivaraj Kumar and other family members. Following this, they performed prayer at Dr Rajkumar and Parvathamma Rajkumar’s memorials.

The family and fans offered Puneeth’s favourite dishes. Hundreds of fans gathered to pay tribute, holding roses and coming from across the state.

Shivarajkumar spoke to the media and said, “Appu was 100 percent his father’s son. It is hard to accept he is no more. We must live with his memories and show him through our actions. We always loved him, and everyone liked his nature”.

He added, “There is no single day without talking about Appaji and Appu. I speak as if he is still here. We get help from nature and from our elders. We should help in such a way that no one knows our service”.

Regarding using AI for an Appu film, Shivaraj Kumar said, “If we use AI-generated, it should be seamless, natural, and not look artificial. Let’s do it, if it can be done well”.

Fans organized a food distribution and camps for eye and blood donation near Kanteerava Studios. Fans from across the state paid their respects, with many doing so from their locations.
