Headmaster assaults student for talking to parents using someone else’s phone

CHITRADURGA: A school headmaster brutally assaulted a student for making a phone call to his parents using someone else’s mobile phone,, in Nayakanahatti village, Challakere taluk in the district.

Veeresh Hiremath is the headmaster at a Veda learning school. Many students from various places are studying the Vedas at the school affiliated with the Guru Thipperudraswamy temple in this village.

The student, who is from North Karnataka, was subjected to physical abuse, including being kicked by the headmaster. A viral video of the incident has sparked widespread outrage. The headmaster, Veeresh has since gone missing, and locals are demanding action against him.

The incident has been reported to the Nayakanahatti police station, and an investigation is under way.
