BENGALURU: A 19-year-old BBA student committed suicide by hanging herself at a private PG in her room in Bagaluru on Friday night allegedly after being harassed by a senior student from the same college who would force her to get into a relationship with him.
The victim has been identified as Sana Parveen, who hailed from Madikeri and was a student at a private college in Bagalur.
The victim was being harassed by a senior student who was studying in the same college. It is alleged that the victim was being harassed for the past 10 months by a youth from Kerala who would visit her PG and college and send her indecent messages. The victim had informed her parents about the harassment.
An FIR has been registered at the Bagalur police station in this connection. The post-mortem examination has been conducted and the body has been handed over to the parents.
